Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, held phone talks with the leaders of the Member States of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
Putin and the Belarusian leader Aleksandr Lukashenko discussed in detail the results of negotiations with the US Special Envoy Steven Witkoff, and the preparations for a meeting with the US President to resolve the situation in the region.
In President Lukashenko's point of view, a reasonable and well-prepared negotiation process is needed, along with a possible air ceasefire. He stressed that with mutual concessions from Russia and Ukraine, hostilities could end permanently.
Speaking with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, Vladimir Putin discussed cooperation within the CSTO, including preparations for bilateral events at the highest level.
The Russian leader also held phone talks with Sadyr Japarov, President of Kyrgyzstan (the country currently chairing the CSTO), and Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan. They discussed the matters of integration and regional security.
All negotiations focused on the peaceful settlement of regional issues and the coordination of joint security efforts.
