Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu is Paying an Official Visit to Tajikistan

Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, is on an official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan on September 15-16.

As part of his visit, the Chairman met with Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, and Rustami Emomali, Chairman of the National Assembly of Tajikistan. A meeting with Faizali Idizoda, Chairman of the Assembly of Representatives, is also a part of the agenda.

The meeting with Rustami Emomali, the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli (National Assembly) of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan, took place in Tajikistan's parliament. The parties discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Emomali Rahmon, President of Tajikistan, received Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu in the Palace of the Nation.

During the meeting, a constructive talk took place on further strengthening cooperation within multilateral organizations such as the CSTO, UN, CIS and SCO.

Emomali Rahmon stressed the importance of developing multifaceted cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, noting in particular the significance of parliamentary diplomacy in promoting these efforts.

Special attention was paid to the work of the Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group, the exchange of experience, and mutual support in the international arena through the parliaments of the two countries.

Upon arrival in the capital of Tajikistan, the head of the Kyrgyz parliament laid a wreath at the monument to Ismoili Somoni, expressing respect for the national and cultural values of the Tajik people.
