On October 23, at the parliament of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe, Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, made a report at the Coordination Meeting of Chairpersons of Committees (Commissions) on Defence and Security of the Parliaments of the CSTO Member States under the CSTO PA Council.
In his speech, Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov noted that, given the development of the military and political situation, the most important priority for the Organization is to conduct high-quality joint operational and combat training in order to maintain the readiness of the Collective Forces to respond to crisis situations.
"This year, one of our priority tasks is to work out the practical aspects of organizing the management and coordination of the Collective Forces' commands," Andrei Serdyukov emphasized.
Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff informed the heads of the defence committees of the parliaments about the main results of the joint exercises conducted this year and the planned joint operational and combat training activities for 2026.
The meeting participants discussed a wide range of issues related to interparliamentary cooperation on challenges and threats to national, collective and regional security.
