On March 28, the headquarters of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in St. Petersburg hosted the regular meeting of the CSTO PA Permanent Commission on Socio-Economic and Legal Affairs, chaired by Ruslan Kosygin, deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission on National Security of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
The meeting participants reviewed the results of the November 2024 session of the CSTO Collective Security Council, the priorities of the Kyrgyz Republic during the CSTO chairmanship in 2025, and the draft CSTO Model Law "On the Status of International Officials".
"We thoroughly discussed the current challenges to collective security. The constructive dialogue on the draft CSTO Model Law "On the Status of International Officials", which purpose is to harmonize the legal regulation of the status of international officials in the CSTO Member States, is particularly notable,” Ruslan Kosygin pointed out.
The meeting of the Permanent Commission has resulted in making a number of decisions aimed at further strengthening the cooperation between the CSTO Member States in the socio-economic and legal areas.
