CSTO PA Mission Will Observe the Early Elections to the Jogorku Kenesh
Today, on November 10, the pre-election campaign for the early parliamentary elections to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic has started.
By decision of Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the CSTO PA and Chairman of the State Duma, a monitoring mission of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly has been formed, which will begin international observation of the elections in Bishkek.
Snezhanna Imasheva, Chairperson of the Committee on Legislation and Judicial and Legal Reform of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be the coordinator of the group of observers from the CSTO PA. The group consists of more than 12 members representing Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Russia.
According to the Constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On the Election of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh," the pre-election campaign begins on the day of the end of the registration period for all candidates and ends 24 hours before the start of voting.
Due to early elections, the entire electoral process is reduced by one-third, and the election campaign will last 20 days, starting on November 10, 2025 and ending at 8:00 on November 29, 2025.
The Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan has registered 467 candidates to participate in the upcoming early parliamentary elections to the Jogorku Kenesh.
