Idizoda: Tajikistan is Interested in Strengthening Military and Political Ties in the CSTO
Faizali Idizoda, Speaker of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan, in his speech at the meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in Bishkek pointed out that the CSTO is particularly important for the Republic, being an essential mechanism for ensuring national and regional security.
According to him, in the circumstances of continuing challenges and threats, including those on the southern borders of the country, the cooperation within the CSTO allows to develop coordinated solutions and promptly respond to emerging risks.
Faizali Idizoda stressed that Tajikistan is interested in further strengthening military and political ties in the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
Faizali Idizoda was elected Speaker of the Majlisi Namoyandagon in March 2025, and is taking part in the meeting of the CSTO PA Council for the first time.
As you may recall, the CSTO PA observers took part in monitoring the parliamentary elections in Tajikistan.
